SUMMARY:LJBI Open Day
DESCRIPTION:Limpopo Jewellery Business Incubator(LJBI) hosted Open-Day on the 9th of March 2023\, at its premises: NO.7 Freedom Drive\, Seshego Industrial Park\, Zone 6\, Seshego 0699. The event was indeed a great success\, with a diverse range of stakeholders in attendance and engaging presentations delivered to both small\, medium\, and micro-enterprises (SMMEs) and the wider audience. We had representatives from the following institutions: University of Limpopo\, University of Johannesburg\, SARS\, Nedbank\, Productivity SA\, and the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA)\, Polokwane Municipality\, Limpopo Economic Development Agency\, South African Diamond & Precious Metals and State Diamond Trader. \nAs you may be aware\, LJBI is committed to supporting the growth and development of small\, medium\, and micro-enterprises (SMMEs) in Limpopo and across the country. Therefore\, this Open-Day was an opportunity to showcase the work that we are doing in this regard. In addition to presentations from key stakeholders\, we also facilitated competitions for learners in our Learnership Programme in Jewellery Manufacturing and SMMEs (Speed-Marketing)\, which helped to encourage innovation and creativity – there were prizes for both competitions; LJBI merchandise and a voucher to the value of R1000.00 to the best Speed-Marketer as adjudicated by a panel of stakeholders. A Motivational Speaker\, Ms Tshegofatso Moholo was also invited to deliver a message of hope to the audience. \nHosting an Open-Day is one of the most effective ways to raise awareness on the work that we are doing and to engage with key stakeholders in the industry. It allows us to showcase our successes\, share our vision and objectives\, and gain valuable feedback from attendees\, it also grows our brand as an organisation. The event also provided an opportunity for SMMEs to network\, exhibit their products and learn from each other\, which is essential for the growth and sustainability of their businesses. \nOverall\, our Open-Day was a resounding success\, and we are confident that it will have a positive impact on the growth and development of our SMMEs.
